Can dogs eat mints?

im quiting smoking and am eating polo mints for the cravings thing(im preganant so cant have nicorette etc. my dog is going absolutley ape s**t over my spearmint polo's she sleeps down stairs and this morning i found a pack unopened but chewed in her bed! the mints dont have the Xylitol in them so i dont think they are poisonous just wanted to know what you thought. im not giving them to her for bad breath or anything like that she has detal sticks and has her teeth brushed just that she goes that mental for them when i have one and i want to make sure they are not harming her thanks

Mine Loves polo's and has been on a packet a day for ten years and its done him no harm
Reply:Dogs love mint apparently. I had my dog walk around the flat with a whole pack of Extra Strong Mints in her mouth like she had dug them up in the garden.
Reply:LOL... dogs eat everything! my dog eats snails out of the garden, i find bits of broken shell in his bed! i dont think mints will harm him at all, its like anything, in moderation and as a little treat it will be fine.....good luck with the stopping smoking and pregnancy thang....ive also done both.....got three weeks left, i found that the smell of smoke made me feel so ill that no effort was needed....x
Reply:you can give them to horses so i don't see why..wouldn't recommend to many they still have sugar

Reply:Yes dogs can hv mints. My grandmother always used 2 give her dog mints and it never hurt him. They love mints sooooooooo much it seems.

Reply:they have some mints at Petsmart called Yip Yaps those are good for dogs but you can also get the life saver mints in the green bag(the white ones). My dog Roxie loved those!



My 2 dogs now love Yip Yaps.
Reply:hi i wouldnt think so my dog used to eat everthing even the dreaded chocloate. I know horses eat mints and they ok.

Reply:As long as they're not chocolate mints. I wouldn't give many either, maybe 1 or 2 a day........
