Business question.?

I am going to start making my own lip glosses to sell flavours chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, spearmint and orange.

Does anyone know what laws etc and if i would need a permit to do this?

and if i was to start up an online store on trademe would there be any laws in that or do you just go ahead and do it like if you were selling an item you no longer required?

And would anyone on here be interested in purchasing if I did this?

I have about 2 weeks before my ingredients arrive to do this so am just trying to get feedback to see if there are people out there that think this is a good idea to do and if any of you would interested in this sort of product?

I'm from Canada, and right now wish I lived somewhere else because of revolting corruption! Nevertheless, being in New Zealand, I imagine that you would have similar processes and procedures to follow when doing business. You may want to do a search on your New Zealand Internet browser and type in "Economic Development Officer for New Zealand". An Economic Development Office, at least here, should be able to tell you everything you need to know to start your business and what licenses and other things you need or are required to have in order to operate. It sounds like you have a good creative product (sorry, but I'm a man so it won't apply to me unless you plan to expand your market to lip glosses without colour and flavour for people who get colds and chapped lips), and you have your capital and investments ready to go so you need to make sure that you are properly licensed for New Zealand and you will probably be required to keep accounting records or bookkeeping records for both financial reporting and tax purposes in New Zealand. Reply:Minimally you'll need a business license in the town you operate your business. Also you'll need liability insurance coverage or a strong disclaimer regarding any clients who want to sue because of an irritation, or allergy.



I wouldn't purchase because I don't know anything about your business. I don't want to be a human candy bar.
