Can somebody help me with the meaning of this E.E. Cummings Poem...?
He is expressing a good deal of cynicism over the advertising and name-brands of the day, commercialism, and the urbanization of the United States. BVD underwear, Gillette Razor blades...it's kind of how people talk about Walmart now, like they are just this big corporation closing down all of the little mom and pop stores. I guess he liked just a straight sharp blade to shave with, and thought that razor blades, and other "modern" conveniences were tearing down what made America beautiful.
Reply:To make a long story short,He's trying to show you commercials, gum, razors, underwear,spearmint, hard to understand, but takke the words. =)
