Growing from Seed indoors?

I started some seeds in the little peat bundles / the seeds are coming up, but just one small upgrowth with one leaf on top/right now they are about 1.5 inch tall but just falling over like they are going to die / How do I get them to branch out or grow w/out looking like they are going to die?? I have basil, lavendar, marjoram and spearmint started.

Light. Either a south facing window or a flourescent light (doesn't have to be a grow light) about 1-2 inches above the plants. Careful about over watering.

****TO JESSICA : You need airflow (like a small fan) near you plants to dry up the mold. It will also strengthen the plant stems.
