Of course not. Many of us middle class folks purchase generic brands also. I know that I certainly do because that allows me to put money in the bank.

I think that anything coming from overseas needs to be tested and verified for safety before hitting our shelves. Goodness, first our animals and now our people (regardless of class).

The same rules that apply to our own manufacturers should be forced upon imports.
Reply:Baby formula made in China killed 13 Chinese babies. The rate of autism in the U.S. has gone from 1 in 100 thousand to 1 boy in every 104 born. Something in the prenatal vitamins? That makes me wonder what else we get from China that will cause serious health risks. I believe we should discontinue trade with China for any product that will be ingested by humans and animals.

I hate to sound paranoid, but I think about that when I purchase anything at the grocery. I even wonder about the meat because of the food the animals have eaten. Globalization could be life threatening. The government needs to rethink some of their approach to this. By the time they get done paying for all the testing, it might be cheaper to just use products made in the good old USA.
